Becoming a Christian wasn’t easy for me. My family mocked me and my dad fought me. I have never regretted the decision though, as God has been faithful. He is the best father and He has changed my life for the better.
Being a footballer is not easy either. My career has been plagued with challenges, injuries, disappointments and setbacks. My relationship with God is what has helped me through it all. However, I wanted God to use me as a footballer – for my career to be more than just a job, so when I came in contact with BIG I was excited about what they were doing – it was a platform where I could reach out to others and share the love of God with them.
None of us are perfect but we support each other through the difficulties we face, both on and off the pitch. We remind each other that we play for an audience of one: our loving father.
